Things to do in Maricopa
Although Maricopa is a smaller city and situated at a comfortable distance away from Phoenix, the area there is still plenty of available options when it comes to the things you can do. One thing that you can do in Maricopa that you can’t do in many of the other areas is you can catch a plane ride over the sprawling Sonoran desert. There also many unique attractions in Maricopa, such as the Dwarf Car Museum which showcases a large collection of antique cars from around the 1960s. The owner of the museum is an aficionado and builds scaled-down racecars. Also, for all of you horse riders out there, Maricopa is home to the Koli Equestrian Center where you can catch a horse ride on a guided tour through the Gila River Indian Reservation. There are also several recreation centers located throughout the city and each offers its own variety of fun activities to do. Overall, for being a small town, Maricopa gives you a lot of options. You can also make the drive to Phoenix if you want to experience the city.
