Goodyear
Goodyear is a suburb of Phoenix located 20 minutes southwest of the metropolitan area with a population of roughly 82,000 people. Many residents of Goodyear will tell you that the city is a great place to settle down because of the many entertainments that the area has to offer. However, the reason why so many people hail Goodyear as a marvelous place to live is because of its friendly residents and quality education system. The city got its namesake from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company which owned and cultivated 16,000 acres of land in the area. The Goodyear Field, which was built in 1943, served as a base for United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
